Which browser platform fits the account?
| Platform | Account relationship | Key limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Exness Terminal | Supported MT5 accounts and separate Exness-platform accounts where offered | Regional restrictions apply; no desktop EAs |
| MetaTrader WebTerminal | MT4 and supported MT5 servers | Choose the matching platform/server; no desktop EA runtime |
| Desktop MetaTrader | Accounts created specifically for MT4 or MT5 | Installation required; needed for local EAs and trailing updates |

Open the browser terminal from your account
In Personal Area, choose the intended real or demo account and press Trade. Select Exness Terminal if it is offered. This opens the relevant account rather than asking you to guess a terminal from a search result.
For MetaTrader WebTerminal, choose MT4 or MT5 and enter the trading credentials. MT5 server selection happens before login in the documented flow, and only supported servers can connect. To change that server, start a fresh WebTerminal instance.
Place and manage orders in a focused workspace
Find the instrument, read its specification and enter the volume, stop and target. After submission, look at the recorded position or pending order. Use the platform’s modification controls to change an accepted instruction, then read the saved value.
Exness Terminal supports a time-zone preference in Settings. A Hong Kong reader can use a convenient display zone, but the symbol’s actual sessions and holidays still determine when trading is available.
After a timeout, reconcile before clicking again
If a page stalls, restore the connection and read current positions, pending orders and recent history. The first request may have reached the server even when its acknowledgement did not reach your screen.
Close duplicate tabs for the same task, keep the active account number visible and sign out on shared equipment. Closing a tab does not close positions. For automation, use the supported desktop environment rather than leaving a browser tab open in expectation that it runs an EA.
CFD trading risk
Leveraged CFDs can cause substantial losses, including the money in your trading account. Margin is not a loss limit, and a stop-loss does not guarantee its execution price.
