Which minimum applies to your transfer?
| Requirement | When it applies | Where the amount appears |
|---|---|---|
| Account first-deposit requirement | Initial funding for the selected account and region | Open account / account-type selection |
| Payment-method minimum | Each payment, including later deposits | Deposit tab beside the available method |
| Practical trading capital | Margin and planned exposure after funding | Contract details and trading terminal |
Why a “USD 200 minimum” may not be your amount
The Help Center states that professional accounts start at a first-deposit requirement of at least USD 200, depending on region. It directs clients to the account-creation screen for their actual threshold. Standard and Standard Cent also depend on location and method.
After the first deposit, the minimum depends on the selected payment method. Passing a payment minimum does not remove a higher initial account threshold. For example, an assumed USD 300 initial requirement and USD 20 method minimum would require at least USD 300 initially; those figures are hypothetical.
Hypothetical calculation
Translate a USD threshold into an HKD budget
Assume the account screen requires USD 300 and your provider quotes HKD 7.80 per USD. The conversion component is HKD 2,340. If an assumed HKD 15 transfer fee is additional, the total debit is HKD 2,355.
This is a hypothetical calculation, not a current FX rate or published Hong Kong deposit requirement. A fee deducted from the sent amount can reduce the credited balance instead. Read whether the quoted amount is the debit or the amount expected to reach the trading account.
What to confirm in the account or terminal
Make the first deposit through the Personal Area
Open Deposit, choose an available method and read its currency, limits and processing information. Enter the amount, review the summary and follow the provider’s payment step. Exness requires payments from an account in the client’s own name.
Complete any outstanding profile or identity requirements first. Choose the account currency deliberately: Exness states that it cannot be changed after the trading account is created. A currency offered on one type does not prove a particular Hong Kong bank or wallet route is supported.
If the credit is missing or smaller than expected
Use Transaction history and the payment reference to identify the status and receiving account. Compare the original currency, conversion and any charge with the credited amount before making another transfer. The Support hub can handle a transaction-specific question.
Before funding again, read the withdrawal choices in the same account. This page does not promise a payment method, withdrawal speed or universal fee exemption for Hong Kong.
CFD trading risk
Leveraged CFDs can cause substantial losses, including the money in your trading account. Margin is not a loss limit, and a stop-loss does not guarantee its execution price.
